MediSave


You can use your MediSave* to pay for hospitalisation bill and selected outpatient treatment cost incurred by yourself as well as your immediate family members listed below.

  • Your spouse
  • Your children
  • Your parents
  • Your siblings (Must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.)
  • Your grandparents (Must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.)

Examples of charges that MediSave does not cover include: 

  • Medical report fees 
  • Ambulance fees
  • Rental of sleeper units
  • Hospitalisation charges for stay of less than 8 hours, except day surgery cases
  • Pre-admissions tests when admission is cancelled
  • Treatment for non-medical purposes (e.g. cosmetic surgeries)
  • Appliances and retail items (e.g. crutches/ walking frames)
  • Minor surgical procedures


You will be required to place a deposit if your MediSave balance or the MediSave withdrawal limits is insufficient to cover the estimated hospital bill size during admission or during hospitalisation.
