Singapore has come a long way in its fight against COVID-19, and the collective efforts have saved many lives.

In recognition of the public spirit and contributions to the nation’s fight against COVID-19, special state awards such as the Commendation Medal, the Public Service Medal, the Public Administration Medal, and the COVID-19 Resilience Medal have been awarded to individuals and teams in the public, private and people sections, including the public healthcare sector.

The COVID-19 Resilience Medal (CRM) is a new national award to recognise the substantive contributions of those who participated directly in Singapore’s fight against COVID-19. About 30,000 SingHealth staff were awarded the CRM award. Among them, more than 3,400 are from Sengkang General Hospital, honouring their dedication and resilience in the battle against the pandemic.
