Raising the bar for child health, KKH together with the Translational Immunology Institute Clinical and Research Programme (KRISTIR) under the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medicine Centre, has been globally recognised as a centre of excellence by the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR).
As members of the APLAR international network, KKH and KRISTIR are working to strengthen collaborations and improve best in class models for clinical practice, teaching and research to benefit children with complex childhood immunological conditions.
On the forefront of medical education and training, KKH alongside Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), has also been accredited the first joint subspecialty training centre in gynaecological oncology outside Europe by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).
“As a leading academic medical centre with more than 165 years of legacy as a teaching hospital, these global accreditations are testament to the KKH teams’ unwavering commitment to continual advances in shaping the future of every woman and child,” said Associate Professor Chan Yoke Hwee, Chairman, Medical Board, KKH.
The institutions have established a partnership with Hammersmith Hospital in Imperial College London to advance subspecialty training in gynaecological oncology.
